2022 STS Conference Registration

The Society for Textual Scholarship’s 2022 International Interdisciplinary Conference, “Cultural Mappings,” May 26-28, 2022, is hosted by Loyola University Chicago. Conference panels and plenary sessions will be held at the Philip H. Corboy Law Center, 25 E. Pearson Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60611, and at the Newberry Library, 60 West Walton Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60610.

Registration for the conference is a three-step process.

STEP ONE: MEMBERSHIP
You must be a current member of the Society for Textual Scholarship in order to present at the conference. Click here or on the “Membership Information” link above to become a member or renew your membership. For membership questions, contact areynolds [at] wtamu [dot] edu.

STEP TWO: REGISTRATION

Next, please register for the conference by filling out the form below. Click “Submit” when you have provided the information required for our records.

Advance registration will be open through Friday, May 6. Participants may register after that date on site.

  • All conference participants, including plenary speakers, are required to complete the registration form.
  • Thanks to a generous donor, registration fees for graduate students attending universities in the United States will be covered by the STS. Please identify your graduate student status in the comment section of the form below.
  • If you are registering on behalf of another person or persons, please indicate registrant names, institutions (if applicable), and addresses in the comment section of the form below.

Your registration fee includes access to all conference panels and plenaries, the opening reception on May 26, and the closing luncheon on May 28.

CONFERENCE ACCOMODATIONS

The Society for Textual Scholarship has reserved a small block of rooms at The Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile (160 E. Huron Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60611) for Wednesday, May 25-Saturday, May 28.

The conference rate is $189.00 per night; rate will increase $10.00 per night for each additional adult. Parking (valet only) is available for $66 per night. The room rate includes breakfast for all guests at no additional cost. Two kinds of rooms (1 King, with fridge, non-smoking; 2 Queens, with fridge, non-smoking) are available. All reservations must be guaranteed and accompanied by a major credit card. Reservations must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to arrival; any cancellations made after 48 hours prior to arrival will require payment of one night’s room rate plus tax.

To receive the conference rate, you must reserve by APRIL 1, 2022. Please note that reservations are limited, so it is best to reserve early.

Reservations can be made by calling 1 (800) 774-1500 and booking under the group name: Hilton Central Reservations. Participants must identify themselves as members of the STS 2022 conference to receive the conference rate.

Chicago features a wide array of guest lodgings; conference participants may wish to seek accommodation at other hotels conveniently located in relation to conference venues, The Corboy Law Center and The Newberry Library. For a list of these hotels, please click here.
